Barbarella“Barbarella,” the futuristic female mercenary/seductress immortalized by Jane Fonda in 1968 may be coming back to the big screen, reports THR.

The character first appeared in 1962 in a French graphic magazine written and illustrated by Jean-Claude Forest.  She was a mercenary that undertook daring adventure across the universe of a distant future and was known for her sexual tendencies.

Joe Gazzam will pen the script and Robert Luketic (“The Ugly Truth”) is attached to direct.

The original producer, Dino De Laurentiis, and his wife, Martha De Laurentiis, are on board to produce.

This update to the iconic character will not be as campy the 1968 version, but it, of course, will keep the sexuality.

The project is not set up at any studio yet, but will likely be shopped around as soon as the script is completed.

    Hi! Eric,
Oh! No, Here we go again…Hollywood being completely…”original!”
Eric, Do you know if there is any truth to the “rumor” that Steven Spieberg, plan to remake the classic film Harvey? starring actor James Stewart…

I believe it's true. From what I've heard the flick is setup over at Fox and is scheduled to begin shooting next year. Even though Spielberg is a great filmmaker, I'm not so sure this a good idea.
