Big Brother - Fourth EvictionLast week we reported that Sacha Baron Cohen had caved to gay activist demands and was re-shooting some scenes to appease their concerns (see here). This week, it appears there will be even more alterations made to the already controversial comedy in light of Michael Jackson’s recent death.

The Risky Biz Blog reports that Jackson’s sudden death on Thursday prompted discussion at Universal Pictures that resulted in the studio removing a Jackson-related sketch from “Bruno” just hours before its Los Angeles premiere.

The scene in question reportedly shows Bruno, an over-the-top flamboyant Austrian journalist played by Sacha Baron Cohen, interviewing an unsuspecting LaToya Jackson about a number of comical topics, including her brother.

There is apparently a references to the King of Pop’s high-pitched voice, and an attempt to discover his phone number (Baron Cohen snatches LaToya’s phone).

The scene has been included in earlier press screenings, but after Jackson’s death the studio decided to remove the scene for the premier out of sensitivity for Michael’s family, and have since to decided to leave it out of all theatrical releases.
