Do you think Orson Welles’ work is overrated or that “Le Mépris” is Godard’s best film? Can you make a compelling argument for or against the digitization of modern cinema? Can you back it up with humorous and/or insightful prose? TMA Film Journal is looking for new writers. If you’re a film junkie who has a way with words, we want you!
The Moving Arts is a widely read film publication (more than 30,000 unique visitors monthly) and we’re looking for contributions from knowledgeable film lovers and scholars including essays, news items, interviews/Q&A’s, reviews and commentary.
You will not be paid for your work, but you will reach a wide audience, enhance your profile and be published in one of the premier sources for film commentary and news on the Internet. Press credentials may also be provided if you plan to publish your coverage of a film festival exclusively with us.
To submit your work send the finished piece in an email (as pasted-in text rather than an attachment) to red (at) themovingarts.com. Include a short bio about yourself (credentials, experience, your location, etc.).
We will respond to each submission with either a rejection or acceptance notification within one week, but that may vary depending on the number of submissions at any given time.
