Back in November we reported that movie star Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator, Walk the Line) would be retiring from film to focus on an R&B music career. Apparently he forgot to mention that he would also be retiring from cognitive thought.

Phoenix appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night to promote his final film “Two Lovers” with Gwyneth Paltrow, but the disheveled, loopy star hardly spoke drawing some ridicule from the host. Take a look:
