That fact that 20th Century Fox is remaking/rebooting/prequeling the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic, “Predator,” is old news. The fact that horror hero, Neil Marshall may just land the directing gig is brand-spanking new.
Bloody Disgusting has learned that Marshall, who directed horror classic, “The Descent,” as well as “Doomsday,” and “Dog Soldiers” is every close to signing a deal with producer Robert Rodriguez and his Trouble Maker Studios.
The new entry into the beloved thriller franchise will be called “Predators,” and Fox is reportedly eyeing a July 9, 2010 release.
Hey, occassionally remake/reboot/prequel news can be good news. Let’s just hope it’s better than Danny Glover’s foray into the world of invisible, bleeding neon green, space aliens.
