It has been widely reported that “The Proposal” star, Ryan Reynolds would star in Rodrigo Cortés’ indie thriller, “Buried,” which is to center on a civilian contractor who is kidnapped and buried alive in Iraq with only a cell phone, candle and knife. Sounds interesting enough, but a more intriguing update to that story comes from an interview Reynolds gave on an Australian television show in which he said:
“‘Buried’ is the story about a guy whose buried (laughs). It’s the only movie I’ve ever heard of with only one person in it. So it’s just me, I’m the only person in the whole movie so, I don’t know, we’ll see. It’s either going to be, you know, the greatest, most experimental cool movie ever made or god knows what.”
So, Reynolds’ description the thriller indicates, quite literally, that this film will be a one man show. For an actor who has rarely had to stretch his talents, it should be interesting to see Reynolds fares.
Shooting is scheduled begin this month in Barcelona.
