Randall Wallace to Rewrite ‘Captain Nemo’

Los Angeles Premiere Of The Nativity Story - ArrivalsRandall Wallace, the writer of “Braveheart” and “Atlas Shrugged,” has been hired to rewrite the Jules Verne classic, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” for Disney’s new feature to be entitled, “Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” according to THR.

“Terminator Salvation” director, McG, will helm and produce the project with Idealogy’s Sean Bailey also producing.

“Nemo” will center on the origins of Captain Nemo and his submarine warship, the Nautilus.

Wallace will also be directing “Secretariat,” starring Diane Lane, for Disney. The racehorse drama is set to begin shooting in late September.
