Thank you for the 5 star review. I haven't seen it yet but now I will (thanks to the rating).
I haven't found it yet, but I'm wondering what you gave Iron Man (When it came out of 100 people, 100 gave it a 10/10).

Thank you. Movie criticism is full of people who want to be stars but aren't. That's why there will always be that one that tries to be different and hate a movie just because nobody else is doing it. It's a shame. Luckily the majority felt the same as I did about this amazing film.

Hey I like the way you write. So elaborate, interesting and clear.
I really loved this movie. Donno why many criticized it, perhaps for the sake of it.

"Insanity is like gravity... all it needs is a little push.".... a gr8 movie in which i loved the villain :D. I can still remember the dialogues. And being honest it was the JOKER who made it a blockbuster. I am looking forward to its sequel.

(SPOILER ALERT!)
I know what you mean. I was completely expecting two-face to survive to populate the third movie. Now that the joker and two-face are gone, I can't come up with a cinema-friendly villain that could carry another batman film.

I mean, they could take the risk of getting someone else (Crispin Glover, Guy Pearce?) to bring the joker back or have Ra's al Ghul make another appearance. Either way, they're treading on dangerous water. One thing you can say about Nolan though is that he's fearless, and he hasn't made a bad film yet. So, here's hoping the streak continues...

Some people criticize "The Dark Knight" as theatrical, but I see it as operatic -- a grand tale of good and evil, moral dilemmas and sacred trusts, told on a gritty, realistic stage. It captures the anguished darkness and madness that is the Batman saga perfectly.

My only gripe (and this is a spoiler, so beware) is that they KILLED THE WRONG GUY at the end of the film. How are we expected to have a threequel if you kill off one of the most important plot-drivers?!?

I was reading some review of this movie a little while ago and the critic only gave it 3/5 stars because he felt it was too "serious" and too "dark".... I was like...uh, you know that f***ing name of the movie is The DARK Knight right? What a retard. So yeah, I appreciate you throwing in that Spawn example. Comics, especially ones like Batman really weren't meant for kids. The movie was ridiculously AWESOME!

"The reason this film works so well, other than Ledger’s remarkable performance, is the Nolan brothers’ superb script. It cleanly packs a summer’s worth of blockbuster flair and a Sundance Film Festival’s worth of artistic merit into a tight 152 minutes"

Well said Eric! normally, a two and a half movie would seem very long to me. The Dark Knight seemed short! It really did feel like they crammed all that action and mind-blowing drama into a tight amount of time. Christopher Nolan is my new favorite director. Long live Ledger!

Excellent review! I absolutely loved this movie. The opening bank robbery scene was also my favorite. When the clowns start shooting each other... so freaking awesome!
