I actually liked this movie despite it lacking any deeper meaning. It was a good laugh and not too serious. I'd give it a 3/5. Not to mention Butler can do no wrong in my eyes.

Never saw The Proposal but I definitely believe you that it's probably a lot better than this thing. Honestly, The Ugly Truth embodies why Hollywood is loosing respect among cinephiles.

yeh good review, i saw this the other day and it made me laugh at points, but not often enough and the two main characters were highly unlikable. The Proposal was much better!
