Tobey Maguire is now attached to star in “The Details,” an indie black comedy written and to be directed by Jacob Estes, reports Variety.

Maguire will come aboard the project that already boasts a stellar cast including Elizabeth Banks, Ray Liotta, Dennis Haysbert, Anna Friel, and Laura Linney.

The narrative follows a struggling married couple who, already dealing with infidelity, sees further complications from ravenous raccoons burrowing under the lawn in their back yard.  The couple can’t agree on how to handle the situation and a mountain is made out of a mole hill.

Mark Gordon is producing with Bryan Zuriff and Hagai Shaham. Mickey Liddell will executive produce with his Liddell Ent. finances.

James McAvoy was originally attached star in Maguire’s role but canceled due to scheduling conflicts.

Shooting begins August in Seattle.
