Any time Terrence Malick decides to direct a film, it becomes an event, for film fanatics at least. Every one of his pictures has been called a masterpiece by at least a few prominent critics. “Badlands,” “Days of Heaven,” “The Thin Red Line” and “The New World” all have dedicated followers and they all have some of the most beautiful imagery in all of cinema. His newest film, “The Tree of Life,” starring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain looks to be no different in that department and looks sure to be a contender for next year’s Oscars. Look for it in theaters May 27, 2011.

His father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) is the king of Asgard and he casts Thor to earth as punishment for his arrogance.

Daniel Craig stars in Jon Favreau’s “Cowboys & Aliens” as Jake Lonergan, a mysterious stranger with no memory of his past who stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. Aliens appear and begin to abduct the townsfolk and Craig bands together with his former foes to fight off the invasion. Also starring are Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Noah Ringer, Clancy Brown and Harrison Ford. Favreau is directing a script by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci & Damon Lindelof. Look for this western/sci-fi to hit theaters July 29th, 2011.

The first real teaser trailer for Warner Bros. “Green Lantern” starring Ryan Reynolds has hit the web. Here’s the synopsis:
